Heat the part of the tube you want to bend to a dull red color.
Warning! All brass alloys have some percentage of
lead in them. Heat the brass outside in a well ventilated area just in
case lead is given off during the heating process.
Drop into water to quench it. Don't hold the
tube because hot steam may run up the tube and burn your fingers. This
softens
the brass. It will easily bend now. However, you must brace it inside or
outside to prevent it from kinking when you bend it.

Dry the tube. Put tape on one end of it. Pour
dry sand into the tube. Tamp it against the table to pack
the sand tight.
Bend
carefully. Then, shake out all of the sand by tapping it against the
table.
